Implant placement and horizontal GBR in the aesthetic zone

Dr. Pelekanos demonstrates implant placement and simultaneous bone augmentation in the anterior maxilla.
After insertion of the implant, the buccal bone was perforated and permamem® was applied and fixed by screws and pins. The site was grafted with small cerabone® granules and subsequently completely covered by the membrane. Finally, permamem® was fixed coronally by the healing abutment and the site was sutured to achieve primary wound closure.
permamem® is a non-resorbable, biologically inert and biocompatible membrane made of high-density PTFE. Due to its cell occlusive properties, it provides optimal conditions for an undisturbed bony regeneration.
